SAGE Metro Portland seeks to enhance the lives of older LGBT community members through education, advocacy, outreach, and resource development at Friendly House, Inc. SAGE Metro Portland works with and for LGBT elders 60+ in the Portland Metro Area, via advocacy and social programs, to ensure their safety and well-being. Cultural competency trainings are also provided to educate health care workers, retirement home staff, and many others about the unique issues facing LGBT elders.
