Duplicate Images

OlderGay.Men started with pictures. One of my goals when I remade the site four years ago was to root out all the duplicates that had crept into the collection. I came up with a system that worked well. Until it didn't. Due to a broken dependency. I tried to make friends with the folks involved, but they weren't into it.
I put a stopgap measure in place which, of late, has ensured duplicates instead of preventing them. I started searching for alternatives. An old friend came to town and dragged me through assorted older men fleshpots. When I recovered, a new friend helped me get things working again this weekend. When you're browsing men now, you'll see a little envelope next to the name of anyone you've talked to before. If you click through to his profile, under the button to write to him, you'll find a link that brings up your previous conversations. Hope this helps clear out some of the clutter and helps you stay in touch with OGM friends.
Private Notes

Supporting members can now save private notes about other members. You can add them at the top of the other member's profile page or the bottom of conversations with him, and they'll also appear as you're browsing members at https://oldergay.men/users . We hope it's useful for storing phone numbers, birthdays, reminders of shared interests — anything you want to remember!

Thanks to zax827 for the heads-up that our chat rooms disappeared for most of our members! Since I wasn't affected, I didn't see it, though I wondered why it had gotten so quiet. 😀
It looks like only staff members can access the chat at the moment. I wrote the providers of our chat rooms and discussion boards to ask what happened. I'm sorry for the interruption; in the meantime, the conversations are still going on. Hope you can connect with like-minded friends there and get back to live chat with them soon.
