Messages need to be pluralized
The above image is an example. We need to review where we make statements like this”5 people is,” and properly pluralize them.
Geolocation results are wrong
We have some problems with our geolocation:
- The user https://oldergay.men/users/fraser-barnfather lives in Sint Maarten, in the Caribbean. No matter how we try to add his location to his profile — by country, city, specific address, etc. — our geo coordination service resolves it to "Sint Maarten, Netherlands", and shows a Google map of the Netherlands. The island of Sint Maarten belongs to the Netherlands, but is thousands of miles from it.

Image uploading is broken
Our JFIF file handling was corrupting the uploaded files. We need to fix the problem going forward and try to recover the images still in the pipeline.
Users should see which of their photos are private
We should display a user's public and private photos separately, for clarity.
Some videos are not playing on all devices
“Show all” images link is unclear
Links to pages from Discourse comments are non-descriptive
Discourse converts the link text to match the page’s tag. In some cases that works, and we get
“This is the discussion page for OlderGay.Men | People: kishanreman”. But if the page requires a log in, we get “This is the discussion page for OlderGay.Men” instead of “This is the discussion page for OlderGay.Men | Pictures Added Jan 27, 2025”.
We get “Image not found” in image galleries

The site freezes on Android devices
Users are finding that the site locks up and won’t scroll after some time. Possibly related to the image gallery.
