Sebastian Beach

Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States

(Listing updated 4 days ago.)

Fort Lauderdale Beach at Sebastian Street (where Sebastian meets the A1A) is where the grey hairs sun themselves. If you don’t want to drive to Haulover, there’s good sightseeing here and on the sidewalk up and down the beach in this area.
It has been named the "Hottest U.S. Gay Beach" by Out Traveler. The popular gay beach is nestled along the corner of Sebastian Street and A1A across from the Casablanca Cafe.

Sebastian Beach (officially Sebastian Street Beach) is widely considered the premier LGBTQ+ beach in the United States, let alone Fort Lauderdale.

This is the "unofficial official" gay beach of Fort Lauderdale. It is incredibly welcoming and serves as the primary social hub for the community. You will find rainbow flags on the beach and a diverse crowd of men of all ages.

Important Tip: Because of the high-rise buildings (like the Ritz-Carlton) directly behind the beach, shadows fall across the sand by mid-afternoon. For the best sun, one may plan to arrive in the morning or early afternoon.

Lifeguards are on duty; there are public showers and umbrella/chair rentals available on-site.

Parking: Metered street parking is available on Sebastian Street and nearby lots, but it fills up fast on weekends.
