Café Mankind is close by the Rijksmuseum, and the Antiques Quarter around the Spiegelgracht is only a few blocks away. This café is secluded beside the slow-moving waters of the Lijnbaansgracht. Mankind possesses its own canal-side terrace, patio and landing stage, so it is possible to get there by boat.
The café, owned and run by Frank for over twenty-five years, offers a warm and friendly welcome at any time of the year. In the summer you can relax on our canal side terrace or street side patio; and when it gets colder, the café is a snug and warm haven from the chill of the canals.
Aside from offering an excellent range of freshly made hot and cold light dishes, sandwiches and snacks, in the evening we also serve steak or saté with fries and salad of one of our extra large salads. Our kitchen is open daily from noon till 4 pm and from 5 pm till 8.30 pm.
