The Townhouse of New York
(Listing updated 7 months ago.)
Midtown Manhattan’s premier lounge and piano bar
One of the most NYC things you could possibly experience. New York’s finest performers playing nightly!
The Townhouse of New York is an elegant gay men’s club with great music, live entertainment and tasty drinks. While much of the after-work crowd is in suits and blazers, a jacket is not required, but please dress-to-impress!
We also have our exquisite “Club Room” that is available for private parties and get-togethers.
The Townhouse is definitely the "dress to impress" spot in New York. It's a gay cocktail lounge with three bars (including a piano room with nightly performances) and a dress code. Lots of beautifully cut suits and tasteful neckwear are on display. The downside of this is that the atmosphere tends to be competitive, rather than friendly. There are a lot of guys cruising, or maybe just posing. A discreet sign at the entrance requests that solicitations for money be reported to the management. The fact that they need the sign says something; be careful. Best before 1AM if you want to meet a nice guy.
